Palma without Bullfighting
Last week, Palma has declared itself a bullfighting-free city. The City Council voted in favor of this "historically" called explanation.
The presumably last (announced on August 6th) "Corrida" in Palma is probably no longer taking place. Because this week the bullring should be checked again for structural safety.
The Conservatives have criticized to eliminate an outstanding Spanish tradition with the ban. Palmas animal welfare City Councillor Neus Truyol disagreed: "To uphold a tradition, where animals are tortured, does not meet the 21st century".
